GENERAL SUMMARY

 

The position is responsible and accountable for the deployment of Lean Six Sigma principles and Ansell Production System (APS) in the respective business unit – HGBU. Further, the global initiative management with respect to the assigned business unit is also a major responsibility.  

 

JOB ROLE

 

1.   Deployment of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles across the business unit

 

·       Overall project identification and management for the business unit via programs such as S3 savings, LSS Wave and Productivity improvement projects (P2.0)

·       Manage the projects, provide necessary training and coaching for the leaders.

·       Deploy lean tools whenever required by the operations.

·       Develop talent management strategy and deploy for the respective business unit.

·       Support the operational teams in visual factory.

·       LSS Green Belt, White Belt and LSS tool trainings

2. Kaizen program management based cultural transformation Strategy development, Communicate, train, and empower the Kaizen teams and leaders

 

·       Track the Kaizen progress periodically.

·       Periodic evaluations, Gemba and ranking in HGBU

·       Promote and engage the concept among the general workers categories.

 

3. Ansell Production System Deployment Understand the key concepts, applications   and relevance of IWS pillar

 

·       Train and coach, the plant deployment teams – HGBU

·       Strategic deployment plan for all pillars in HGBU

·       Routine reviews and engagement to ensure sustainable deployment of APS

·       Collaborate with pillar heads to ensure on time deliverable of all deployment milestones.

·       Change management with key stakeholders.

·       Request the leadership support and laisse with the sponsors in bridging the support gap.

·       Gap analysis and project planning for the deployment milestones

·       Health Check management

·       GBU Plant Daily Direction Setting APS representations

·       GBU Monthly Direction Setting lead

 

          4. Department overall budgetary management

           

·       Develop departmental GBU budgets.

·       Periodic reviews and communication

           

          5. Lean Six Sigma trainer LSSGB trainer for executives

           

·       LSSGB project coach

·       LSS GB module development

·       Talent review and management for LSS skills in executive team

           

KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

 

·       BSc (Hons) Degree from a reputed university

·       Certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

·       General management/ business qualification (preferred)

·       Project management qualification (preferred)

 

Job Experience

 

·       1 year plus experience in similar capacity and 3 years overall industry experience

·       Project management experience in a manufacturing environment

·       Manufacturing industry exposure

·       Global scale work experience (preferred)

 

Knowledge & Skills

 

·       MS office professional level

·       Sinhala and English professional level

·       Minitab or similar statistical tool -professional level

·       Manufacturing operational knowledge – intermediary

·       Basic financial management knowledge

·       DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen based project management

·       Lean Six Sigma knowledge

·       Integrated Work Systems knowledge 

Desirable Job Competencies

 

·       Good communicator with sound problem solving and presentation skills.a

·       Positive attitude and enthusiasm.

·       Good at respectfully challenging paradigms and being a change agent.

Additional Requirements (travel, etc.)

  • Be prepared to travel to local establishments and other Ansell locations as required by the company on business- and job-related matters.
