Introduction

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Risk Assessor with Ergonomics experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting workplace risk assessments, with a strong focus on ergonomics, health, and safety compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend practical solutions to improve workplace safety and employee wellbeing.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive workplace risk assessments, with emphasis on ergonomic risk factors.

Evaluate workstations, tools, and processes to identify potential hazards.

Provide recommendations for ergonomic improvements and risk mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with South African occupational health and safety legislation.

Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to management and staff.

Collaborate with HR, Health & Safety, and operational teams to implement corrective actions.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

Ergonomics Certification (e.g., HPCSA-recognised ergonomics training or equivalent).

Risk Assessor Certification (e.g., SACPCMP registration or equivalent).

Proven experience in conducting ergonomic assessments and workplace risk evaluations.

Strong knowledge of South African Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Ability to work independently and travel regularly.

 

Beneficial Registrations & Accreditations:

QCTO/SAQA-accredited risk assessment qualification

Professional registration with SACPCMP or SAIOSH

HPCSA-recognised ergonomics certification

Ongoing CPD compliance
