Job Summary:
The Project & Process Improvement Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of various projects and processes within the organization. They will provide an experienced level of support to the EVP, Chief Lending Officer and the AVP, Lending Quality Assurance Director through a variety of functions. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and support the overall business objectives.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Chief Lending Officer with lending process improvement which includes:
- Developing and implementing strategies to optimize processes, which may involve redesigning workflows, introducing new technologies, or revising procedures.
- Work with different departments to ensure processes are aligned across the organization, facilitating communication and resolving issues.
- Continuously monitoring and analyzing process performance to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Conduct data analysis and generate reports to identify trends, provide actionable insights and pinpoint areas where processes or strategies can be optimized.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Director with key project phases such as initiation, planning, testing, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Create and maintain project documentation and track project budgets and costs.
- Collaborate with appropriate team members to design, develop and deliver end-user documentation in both technical and user-friendly language, including procedures.
- Research and troubleshoot issues when they arise. Prioritize and escalate issues by working with team members and/or external vendors to resolve.
- Assist AVP, Lending Quality Assurance Director with training including:
- Train employees on new or updated processes to ensure everyone understands the procedures and can follow them effectively.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot any issues employees encounter with processes.
- Provides back up when needed for any departmental functions.
- Remain current on all areas of lending regulations.
- Actively maintain a working knowledge of systems and procedures.
- Maintains courteous and effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Maintains confidentiality, ensuring client privacy.
- Complies with all rules and regulations associated with lending.
- Perform duties related to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer.

Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a thorough understanding of operational best practices.
- Confident decision-making abilities and the skill to use sound judgment about the timing of choices; particularly the ability to make informed, responsible decisions with limited information or under considerable amounts of stress.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze potential project outcomes with the adaptability to redirect attention as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
- Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
- The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, a related field, or a 5+ years commensurate combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 3 years direct experience in project coordination/management.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analysis.
Physical Requirements of Essential Job Functions:
The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls that are typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items weighting up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc.
Working Conditions:
- Typical office working environment.
- Typical desk job.
- Extended viewing of computer screens.
- Periodic travel between locations may be required.
- Typically, 8:00am – 5:00pm CST, Monday – Friday.
- Must be able to work over-time and Saturdays if needed.
