Introduction

A dynamic opportunity exists for a Senior Sales Executive within the medical device sector, focused on driving growth in a high-impact healthcare environment. The role involves promoting and selling an advanced portfolio of medical technologies designed to enhance patient outcomes and support clinical excellence. This includes point-of-care ultrasound devices, Oncology Consumables, Vascular Access Solutions, Pain Management Systems, and a range of ancillary medical products

 

The position requires strong engagement with healthcare professionals across both private and public sectors, with an emphasis on building long-term, trust-based relationships. Success in this role is driven by resilience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to identify and present innovative solutions within clinical settings

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell a comprehensive portfolio of medical devices to healthcare providers across private and public sectors
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clinicians and procurement stakeholders
  • Deliver product training and demonstrations to healthcare professionals, both in-person and virtually
  • Manage consignment stock and ensure accurate record-keeping within CRM systems
  • Participate in trade shows, workshops, and clinical events to support pipeline development and brand awareness
  • Provide ongoing after-sales support, including troubleshooting and product guidance
  • Attend theatre procedures to offer real-time product support and clinical assistance
  • Collaborate with key opinion leaders and clinical advocates to drive product adoption and utilization
  • Ensure consistent follow-up and engagement to support long-term customer relationships and retention

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in medical device or healthcare-related sales
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, physicians, oncologists, emergency practitioners, and paramedics
  • Experience with procurement and tender processes within private and public healthcare institutions
  • Tertiary medical qualification (e.g., nursing, biomedical science, clinical technology, clinical associate, paramedic/ACLS or equivalent) – non-negotiable
  • Confidence in engaging within hospital environments, including wards, ICUs, theatres, and emergency departments
  • Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to perform effectively under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
  • Familiarity with leveraging social media platforms for professional visibility and brand development
