We are currently recruiting a Clinical Specialist Radiographer-Neuro-Interventional & Cerebrovascular Services for a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Lead the day-to-day clinical operations of the Neuro IR service, ensuring effective use of all allocated resources.
Take accountability for the quality of service delivery, including both patient care and technical performance.
Develop, implement, and review operational policies, protocols, and guidelines, ensuring efficient resource utilisation and regular audits.
Provide input on equipment management, including selection, procurement, maintenance, and upgrades.
Monitor service plans and maintain accurate clinical data systems in line with hospital standards.
Oversee equipment performance and maintenance, ensuring accurate reporting and coordination of preventative servicing.
Stay updated on clinical and technological advancements in Neuro IR, promoting and implementing best practices.
Support service development, financial planning, and budget control, working closely with senior radiology leadership.
Ensure a safe working environment, implementing risk management, infection control, radiation safety, and health & safety policies.
Support staff training, supervision, quality improvement, and audits, while assisting with accreditation processes and departmental compliance.
Hold a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or an equivalent qualification, with a relevant postgraduate qualification desirable.
Possess a minimum of 6 yearsâ experience in the chosen modality, or 3+ years with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Demonstrate proven experience working collaboratively within a radiography team.
Be competent in intravenous cannulation and contrast administration.
Show evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) post-registration.
Demonstrate strong clinical competence and experience in an Interventional Radiology (IR) setting, with the ability to support service development.
Exhibit excellent teamwork skills, with a proactive, motivated, and innovative approach to the role.
Display strong planning and organisational abilities, including time management, initiative, and the capacity to work under pressure.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain procedures to patients and engage effectively with staff at all levels.
Maintain a strong patient-centred approach, demonstrating empathy, respect, and a clear understanding of service user needs.
