Job Summary
Job Description
- Directs and evaluates a multifaceted statewide Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance team for programs under the Office of Public Health (OPH) Bureau of Family Health.
- Develops and implements Quality Improvement (QI) plans and incorporate QI practices with all clinical service programs. Develop QI measures with all clinical service programs.
- Provides technical assistance to internal and external partners regarding performance measures and QI best practices.
- Leads QI initiatives and provide technical assistance for QI projects.
- Collaborates with other programs on QI projects with shared goals.
- Develops and produces reports to:
- Ensure clinical services meet best practices and disseminate results to responsible parties.
- Ensure accuracy of clinical staff time-coding.
- Ensure appropriate reimbursement is captured through billing and coding practices.
- Ensures mandated data reports are completed timely and accurately.
- Develops, assesses, and/or implements data capture and reporting systems for internal and external partners.
- Develops and runs program reports on a defined schedule. Run ad-hoc reports for clinical programs.
- Performs and assists with program evaluations, cost analyses, and other in-depth reports.
- Assists programs in building evaluation measures into sub recipient contracts.
- Participates in workgroups, committees, and team meetings to provide technical assistance and advocate for clinical services programs; including but not limited to PHAB Accreditation (Quality Subcommittee), Clinical Effectiveness Committee (OPH PHUs), RHP and Revenue Program meeting, RHP and SHP meeting, DAT meetings.
- Provides input during acquisition or implementation of new software and systems; including but not limited to OPH EHR, Genetics/CSHS social services software, and cloud databases.
- Provides technical assistance to other programs outside of clinical services, as needed.
- Assists DAT and BHI members with EHR form and report building.
- Provides professional consultation relative to quality assurance to all professional staff.
- Provides consultation and assistance in program analysis.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree plus 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional work experience.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in quality management, quality assurance, or process improvement.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience with data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; effective organizational and time management skills.
- Great attention to detail and follow up.
- Ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
- Proficient in the use of Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.
DESIRED:
- Advanced degree.
- Minimum 6 years professional experience in quality management, quality assurance, or process improvement.
- Minimum 4 years professional experience with data analysis.
- Minimum 2 years professional experience with project or program coordination.
- Relevant industry certifications.
