Position Summary


As a Wellness Manager, you will work under the direction of the Site Manager to build authentic connections and foster trust with residents in a supportive housing environment. Serving individuals navigating trauma, mental health challenges, and addictions, you will provide holistic, person-centered support focused on mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being.


In collaboration with the Site Manager, you will help ensure the program meets both resident needs and organizational requirements while mentoring a team of Wellness Coaches. You will lead the development and implementation of wellness strategies, creating a safe, recovery-oriented space grounded in a “one day at a time” approach and modelling self-care and sustained wellness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assess resident intake into the Transitional Housing Program, making informed decisions in collaboration with the Site Manager and multidisciplinary team.
  • Lead, mentor, and support Wellness Coaches and the Weekend Wellness Coordinator to deliver holistic wellness programming aligned with resident care plans.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee wellness strategies and activities that promote mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • Manage program resources, including budgets, reporting, and wellness supplies, ensuring efficient and effective use of funds.
  • Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages residents’ personal growth, accountability, and self-care.
  • Build authentic relationships with residents through modeling wellness, empathy, and positive communication, while guiding them toward their goals.
  • Promote collaboration and a strong team culture through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and mentoring of program staff.
  • Facilitate resident engagement, community-building, and integrated activities within e4c programs and the surrounding neighborhood.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and funder requirements.
  • Take initiative, think critically, and adapt quickly to challenges, demonstrating creativity, resourcefulness, and leadership in all aspects of the program.


Qualifications


Education

  • Degree in Human Services, Social Services, or related field.

Certification

  • Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Suicide Intervention
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle
  • Proof of vehicle insurance (min. $2 million liability), registration and 3-year drivers abstract.

Experience

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in social services or a related setting.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Skilled in relational, trauma-informed, person-centered, harm reduction, and strength-based approaches.
  • Experience working in collaborative partnerships and solution-focused practice.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in crisis situations; personal lived experience with addictions, mental health, or related challenges is considered an asset.
