Utilization Review Supervisor

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Utilization Review Supervisor join our team!  

JOB SUMMARY:       

The Utilization Review Nurse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Utilization Review (UR) department, ensuring efficient and compliant evaluation of healthcare services for medical necessity, appropriateness, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves supervising a team of Utilization Review Nurses and support staff, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and payer guidelines. The supervisor facilitates patient care coordination, optimizes resource utilization, and supports quality care delivery across the continuum.

Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full-time, part-time or PRN status classification.

Education/Certification: Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field experience. Case Management Certification (e.g., ACMA, CPHQ, CCM or CMCN) preferred.

Experience: Preferred minimum of 3-5 years of experience in utilization review, case management, or acute care nursing, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Equipment/Technology: Computer (Intermediate to Advanced)

Language/Communication: English primary
