Job Description
The School of Arts, Sciences, and Business is looking for a 10-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to support the B.S. in Health Sciences program. This is a full-time appointment with an anticipated start date of August 2026. We are looking for candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service and who will contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and student-centered academic community.
Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in one primary area of the health sciences and show evidence of interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and scholarship across related fields. Faculty teach undergraduate courses aligned with their expertise and the needs of the department.
Responsibilities
Faculty carry a teaching load of seven (7) courses per academic year. Primary responsibilities include:

1st fall: HSC 150 (Intro), HSC-201 (Cultural Competencies), HSC-320 (Legal Trends in Health Science)
1st spring: HSC-373 (Research…), HSC-201 (Cultural Competencies), HSC310 (HS Comm) + 1 flex*
2nd fall: HSC 150 (Intro), HSC-201 (Cultural Competencies), + 1 flex*
2nd spring: HSC-373 (Research…), HSC 461 (Capstone), HSC310 (HS Comm)+ BUS380 (Intro to U.S. Health Care Sys)
* The flex could be used to help teach entry level BIO courses or relevant specialty (SOC, Honors, etc.) (as needed), serve as pre-allied health advisor, and teach NDMU-100 sections.
