Task and Responsibilities:

As a Tanning & Wellness consultant at Tommy's Tanning, responsibilities include but are not limited to providing excellent services to members and guests:

  • Opening and closing the salon on time
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge
  • Cash handling, collecting payments from clients and maintaining an even till
  • Providing excellent customer service by ensuring clients' needs, issues and requests are met and are handled professionally
  • Ability to properly engage with all clients by building good relationships and understanding and meeting their needs
  • Ability to make recommendations for products and services
  • Ability to maintain the minimum sales requirement
  • Ability to multi-task, organizing time and workload throughout the day
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness of salon, tanning rooms, lobby area, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team in an upbeat and fast-paced salon environment, while upholding all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment
  • Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes
  • Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors
  • Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc

Education, Skills and Training:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess basic math and cash handling experience
  • Have strong phone, communication and computer skills

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to stand, bend, walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Flexible availability including nights and weekends
  • Be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
  • Work cohesively with others in a fun and fast-paced environment
  • Have a strong customer service orientation and be able to communicate effectively with members and guests, prospective clients, vendors, and the location's management and team
  • Maintain client confidentiality
