Task and Responsibilities:
As a sales associate at Tommy's Tanning, responsibilities include but are not limited to providing excellent services to members and guests:
- Opening and closing the salon on time
- Basic Computer skills and knowledge
- Cash handling, collecting payments from clients and maintaining an even till
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring all your clients' needs, issues and requests are met and are treated professionally
- Ability to properly engage with all clients, by building good relationships and understanding and meeting their needs as a client
- Ability to make recommendations for products and services
- Ability to maintain the minimum sales requirements
- Ability to multi-task. Juggling cleaning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients upon their arrival
- Ability to maintain cleanliness of salon, tanning rooms, lobby area, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas
- Ability to work cohesively with a team in an upbeat and fast-paced salon environment, while upholding all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes
- Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors
- Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc
Education, Skills and Training:
- Have a high school diploma.
- Possess basic math and cash handling experience
- Have strong phone and computer skills
- Have previous customer service experience
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to stand, bend, walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends
- Be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
- Work cohesively with others in a fun and fast-paced environment
- Have a strong customer service orientation and be able to communicate effectively with members and guests, prospective clients, vendors, and the location's management and team
- Maintain client confidentiality
