Job Description
The System and Process Analyst supports ISU’s process and system improvement goals by analyzing, documenting, designing, and optimizing ISU systems and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis and Optimization:
● Map, document, evaluate, and analyze current-state business processes across the University
● Collect and analyze data to support business cases and evaluate the effectiveness of process changes
● Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand workflow intricacies
● Identify opportunities for improvement; design solutions collaboratively with stakeholders
● Facilitate, coordinate, and implement improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies
System Evaluation, Integration, and Support:
● Analyze functional use of enterprise systems
● Gather and translate business requirements into system specifications for improvements or implementations
● Collaborate with Information Technology and functional teams to test, implement, and validate system changes
● Conduct impact assessments
Stakeholder Engagement:
● Build strong relationships across academic and administrative units to foster collaboration
● Ensure stakeholders are informed, active contributors in improvement initiatives and satisfied with results and outcomes
Documentation and Training:
● Create and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, system configurations, and integration points
● Collaborate with Human Resources and other resources to train users and provide support resources
Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Organizational Development or related field
● At least three (3) years of experience in business or systems analysis, process improvement, or a similar role
● Proven track record applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex system and process issues efficiently
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences
● Familiarity with project management methodologies and a proven ability to apply these methodologies to successfully deliver projects within scope, on time, and within budget constraints
Preferred Qualifications
● Master’s degree or professional certification in process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
● Higher education experience strongly preferred

Salary will be between $65,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
