Summary of Job Duties:

Responsibilities:
The Stroke Program Health Educator Intern will assist the Stroke Program Health Education Team with weekly tasks set by the Program Manager such as assisting in upcoming and ongoing projects, research, data collection, evaluation, and working closely with different team members to learn more about Stroke in Arkansas.

Development, Implementation, Assessment, and Evaluation:
Under the direction of the Stroke Program Health Education Team, the Intern will develop appropriate virtual learning goals and objectives for stroke awareness efforts statewide.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Attend weekly meetings and take minutes
Develop and redesign virtual stroke education curriculum including PowerPoint presentations, print material, etc.
Continue development of Mega Brain modules
Develop culturally appropriate learning initiatives for Arkansas communities.
Perform research as directed
Assist with social media campaigns
Assist with Retreat/Conference planning
Assist with Annual Report materials
Assist and develop Public Service Announcements (PSA)
Develop statewide resource mapping.


Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a senior in a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university
  • Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative
