Job Description
Plans, coordinates and implements various educational programs and activities that promote professional development of clinical staff. Provides leadership and facilitation for the development and maintenance for nursing practice standards, policy and procedures, and serves as a consultant in the areas of clinical practice, education and research.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, and/or EXPERIENCE
Registered Nurse with prior experience in emergency department or critical care environment required. Masters prepared and previous staff development / teaching experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS
Licensed in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS certification. ACLS / BLS Instructor certification preferred. CEN / CCRN certification preferred.
OTHER REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE
Excellent clinical skills, knowledge of adult learning principles, computer skills, creativity, excellent organizational / project skills, attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work independently. Proficient oral and written communication skills required to communicate in a clear and concise manner with hospital staff, patients, physicians and the public.
