The Description
The Spa and Wellness Manager is responsible for building a community of wellness among our club’s members and invited guests with the primary focus of promoting overall health and wellbeing. Innovation and forward thinking are crucial skills of this leader, along with the desire to inspire, mentor, and guide the Spa team in the areas of wellness and wellbeing concepts. In addition to creating a distinctive spa and wellness experience for our members and invited guests, an important component of this position will be providing expert recommendations on wellness advancements, such as aesthetic treatments, products and trends to ultimately push the boundaries of what is possible and showcase the Spa as an exceptional wellness destination for our members and invited guests.
Key responsibilities will include creating a welcoming and relaxing environment, achieving high levels of member satisfaction and fulfillment, enhancing the team’s performance, and maintaining operational efficiencies. This position will work closely with the Director of Operations, and other senior leaders in a highly collaborate manner to maintain exceptional treatment and product offerings, service quality, inventory control, and sales performance. Staff training and skill development will be paramount, and educating, guiding and mentoring the team to inspire and promote a wellness approach will be another important element to the overall success in this position.
Additional responsibilities will include working within the club’s “Global Service Approach” and demonstrates a strong sense of accountability within the team while assuming ownership of communication priorities across the collective departments and reinforcing our instilled values with each interaction. Staffing coordination, billing of member accounts, vendor invoicing, inventory levels, special order requests, cleanliness of the facility and assisting the Front Desk/Guest Service teams are also requirements of this position.
Setting a personal example of professionalism, thoughtful and in-the-moment communications, and fostering a respectful work environment are crucial in this role. Demonstrating respect, empathy, and care with our members, invited guests and our staff is expected, along with regular staff check-ins, team meetings and training opportunities to build the team’s collective skills will be what ultimately defines success in this role.
