Clinical Supervisor & Licensed Therapist (LCSW-C)
At Trauma Specialists of Maryland, we’re a team of compassionate, values-driven clinicians who are committed to helping clients heal from trauma—and supporting each other along the way. We’re actively anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirming, and deeply committed to creating a work culture that values inclusion, integrity, laughter, and learning.
We value inclusion, empowerment, wholeness, courage, and humanness—and those values show up in how we support each other as clinicians just as much as in the therapy room. This is a place where you can ask questions, get support, and bring your full self to the work. We’re looking for curious, kind clinicians who are ready to grow.
About the Role

- You’ll have dedicated time for supervision, peer consultation, and team support and connection.

- EMDR training or refresher (we cover this!)
- Free access to our EMDR Circle community

As a Clinical Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for providing high-quality, trauma-informed care that meets both client needs and organizational standards. This includes:
- Maintaining your caseload with reliable attendance and follow-through
- Completing all clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, etc.) accurately and in a timely manner, meeting all quality and compliance standards
- Collaborating with our Client Support team for scheduling and communication
- Supporting client satisfaction by being responsive, timely, and organized

Your Supervision Work (Approx. 30–40% of Role)
In your role as Clinical Supervisor, you’ll mentor and support up to four provisionally licensed therapists—helping them build confidence, clinical skill, and alignment with practice standards.
You are the first line of support for identifying, addressing, and correcting concerns early. You’ll serve as both a coach and a mentor, providing feedback with care, clarity, and consistency.
Your supervision responsibilities include:
- Holding consistent, structured supervision sessions with supervisees
- Creating supervision agreements and setting clear expectations
- Reviewing and signing off on clinical documentation, checking for accuracy and compliance
- Offering timely feedback on case conceptualization, clinical skills, and professional conduct
- Identifying performance concerns early and mentoring supervisees through them
- Coaching supervisees on ethical, legal, and clinical best practices
- Consulting with leadership when additional support or accountability is needed
- Attending bi-monthly Clinical Supervisor meetings
- Participating in training through the Trauma Specialists Training Academy to stay aligned with what your supervisees are learning
