The Social Work Supervisor III performs administrative and technical supervision of social workers in social work programs.

Examples of Duties

  • Plan and manage unit operations, workflow, caseload distribution, and efficiency improvements

  • Set priorities, goals, and deadlines; report monthly progress to leadership

  • Ensure compliance with County, State, and Federal regulations and attend required meetings

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate staff through meetings, performance reviews, QA file reviews, and corrective actions

  • Arrange and monitor required trainings and professional development

  • Participate in budgeting by assessing and justifying equipment, space, and staffing needs

  • Serve on the Agency Leadership Team and meet regularly with the Director

  • Oversee professional customer service and handle complaints appropriately

  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and documentation of personnel actions

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including shelter duty

Typical Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience

  • Or, Bachelor’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience

  • Or, Master’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience

  • Or, Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience

  • Or, Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience

  • Or, Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
