The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for ensuring that charges generated in the Epic system are properly billed. This position conducts chart audits comparing charges with physician orders, clinical documentation, and reports while reviewing and correcting any charge errors found. This role also addresses complex charge issues referred by customer service or case management, and collaborates with appropriate departments for insurance company audits.

· Leads charge accuracy improvement meetings addressing specific process and charge issues.
· Monitors charge accuracy levels for all revenue-producing departments.
· Investigates charge issues from interface rejection reports, SSI edits, or coding software for possible correction.
· Reviews and corrects charge errors found during audits.
· Participates in meetings focused on process improvement initiatives related to charge accuracy.
· Communicates with appropriate staff or manager when charge errors require correction by the originating department.
