Highlights:
Summary: The RN - Clinical Educator shall be responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of staff education programs for assigned units with regard to current standards of care and practice, changing technology, and identified quality improvement opportunities. In addition, this individual is responsible to coordinate orientation for all new employees within defined clinical practice areas, and to ensure the validation of competency of staff upon employment and ongoing with accurate record keeping within the assigned areas. The maintenance of clinical proficiency is a must and direct patient care may be included in this role, as needed. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum 5 years clinical experience required. Management experience preferred.
License / Certification: Valid RN licensure required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
