Anticipated Resiliency and Wellness Coach/Consultant

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Resiliency and Wellness Coach is a licensed practitioner in the state of Ohio who provides district- and school-level coaching and consultation in the development, implementation, and sustainability of systems that promote resilience, wellness, and positive learning environments for students and staff.
This position focuses on coaching, professional learning, and systems improvement, supporting educators and administrators in strengthening schoolwide and districtwide structures that enhance staff well-being, student engagement, and safe, supportive school climates. While clinical knowledge and licensure are required, this role is consultative and systems-focused and does not provide direct mental health counseling, therapy, or diagnostic services, except in rare or emergency consultation situations consistent with licensure and district protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or applied behavior analysis.
- Licensure: A valid Ohio Clinical License (LISW, LISW-S, LPCC, LPCC-S, or BCBA) (or be willing to obtain)
- Previous Supervisory Experience: None
Preferred
- 3 - 5 years of experience supporting students/clients through the implementation of social-emotional learning (SEL), mindfulness and self-regulation practices, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and relational/attachment-based approaches to promote resilience and positive outcomes
- 3 or more years experience in educational coaching, instructional leadership, or systems level work
- Training or experience in the following areas: trauma informed practices, social emotional learning, mulit-tiered systems of support, restorative practices, Whole Child supports and school climate initiatives
- Experience facilitating professional learning for adult audiences
- Experience supporting organizational-, district- or building- level systems change, implementing implementation fidelity, and sustainability
- Experience working across multiple service settings
- A valid Ohio Department of Education License or Certification (or be willing to obtain)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Professional Learning & Capacity Building
- Design and facilitate professional learning aligned to district priorities around system, staff & student wellness (e.g., resilience, trauma-informed practices, burnout prevention, staff wellness)
- Model effective adult learning strategies connected to these topics
- Support PLCs and leadership teams in embedding resiliency practices into ongoing work
Coaching & Consultation
- Provide job-embedded coaching and consultation to educators and administrators to strengthen resilient practices
- Facilitate coaching cycles that support implementation, reflection, and continuous improvement to strengthen resilient educational practices
- Support leadership teams in identifying needs, removing barriers, and scaling effective practices to support system, staff & student wellness
- Assist in establishing structures that promote educator well-being, psychological safety, and sustainable practices
Resiliency & Wellness Systems Development
- Collaborate with district and building leadership to design, align, and strengthen resiliency and wellness systems consistent with district goals and improvement plans

Support integration of resiliency practices within iMTSS, SEL, PBIS, and school climate initiatives
Data, Reflection & Continuous Improvement
- Support the use of multiple data sources (e.g., climate, attendance, discipline, wellness indicators) to identify needs and inform decision-making
- Monitor implementation fidelity and evaluate outcomes of identified resilient practices

Facilitate data-informed reflection cycles and continuous improvement processes
Student Support (Systems-Focused

Support development of tiered systems that promote student resilience, engagement, and belonging
Collaborate with pupil services personnel to align wellness supports
Provide consultation on classroom and schoolwide practices that support student regulation and well-being
