Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant, Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Division of Research & Innovation at its Detroit campus location.

Position Purpose:

To complete laboratory tasks related to studies of environmental health and toxicology.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Assist with in vitro and in vivo toxicology studies.

 

Complete general lab maintenance and related tasks.

 

Utilize data analysis and statistical methods.

 

Assist with publications, posters, and other presentations.

 

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree

 

Discipline:  Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or similar.

 

Experience: Entry level (less than a year of job-related experience).

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Cell culture, laboratory management, molecular biology.
