Job Description Summary:
The Quality Improvement Specialist supports the Assistant Director of Quality Improvement in enhancing client care outcomes through data collection, analysis, and performance evaluation. This role collaborates with clinical teams to recommend and implement quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Working within a trauma-informed organization, the Specialist provides empathetic, supportive services to individuals with behavioral health and co-occurring disorders, fostering a safe and responsive environment that prioritizes healing and minimizes re-traumatization. This role reports directly to the Assistant Director of Quality Improvement for Ozark Center.
Education:
- Degree in clinical, information systems, or healthcare related field or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
- Gain and maintain comprehensive knowledge of behavioral health quality measures and clinical practice guidelines by researching published guidelines, attending regular state and federal virtual trainings.
- Gather, synthesize, and communicate quality performance data in a way that enables Ozark Center leadership to easily understand clinical performance compliance and establish appropriate policies and procedures, searching for root cause when out-of-compliance measures occur.
- Support quality improvement efforts by assisting in the definition, measurement, analysis, process improvement, documentation, and control of activities that impact quality measures.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement both in process and in performance.
- Provide clerical support to the leadership in the functions outlined above.
- Other duties as assigned to support the quality improvement initiatives of Ozark Center.

Physical Requirements:
- Flex schedule, eligible for part-time work-from-home after probationary and evaluation period.
- Normal Office environment.
- Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
- Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours on occasion.
