Process Improvement Facilitator

The incumbent, reporting to the Operations Manager, will be responsible for the operational effectiveness of the AVT system, performance and utilisation.

• Champion and ensure effective use of AVT systems across Print, Lamination, Lab, and Slitting.
• Conduct regular audits on AVT utilisation and system performance, ensuring full operational effectiveness.
• Work directly with Print Coordinator, Team Leaders and Operators to maximise machine speeds, reduce waste, and improve efficiencies.
• Audit, manage, and control all printing tooling (anilox rollers, sleeves, chambers, etc.).
• Perform Anicam anilox and plate readings and ensure accurate documentation.
• Drive consistent and accurate completion of all History Cards.
• Oversee the storage, handling, and retrieval of printing plates.
• Manage disposal processes for quarantined plates according to company protocols.
• Assist with Repro and plate-related queries from suppliers and customers.
• Support the Operations Manager with Print Hall protocols, standards, and process control.
• Assess operator capabilities and develop targeted upskilling plans where needed.

Coordinate ordering and stock control of consumables to ensure availability and efficiency

• Diploma or Degree in Packaging, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a Flexible Printing environment
• Thorough understanding of AVT systems
• 5 years in a Supervisory / Management experience
• Extensive knowledge of Production Environment
• Knowledge of all Standard Operating Procedures in the Flexible Packaging Industry
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Analytical ability and logical problem solving
• Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
