Some of the Responsibilities

  • Obtain prior-authorization for medications, including specialty and Hepatitis B & C medications.
  • Obtain prior-authorization for radiology, CT/US Guided biopsies, Paracentesis and Capsule Endoscopies.
  • Schedule, review and mail instructions and medications needed for specialty procedures.
  • Prepare orders for CT/US Guided Biopsies, Paracentesis, Pelvic Floor Therapy, Speech Therapy, Therapeutic Phlebotomy, Blood Transfusion and fax to facility.
  • Arrange and perform teachings for fecal transplant patients.
  • Arrange and seek prior-authorization for Home Care.

What we are looking for

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrated computer skills for documenting patient care in an electronic medical record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone, and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to read and comprehend patient medical charts, medical terminology, prescription medications, and physician messages
  • Ability to multi-task
