The Oncology Infusion Nurse Navigator serves as a central coordinator and patient advocate, guiding individuals through the complexities of cancer treatment by facilitating timely access to infusion therapies, providing comprehensive education, managing care across multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patients clinically and emotionally to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

Job Summary:
The Patient Navigator guides patients through the healthcare process. They are responsible for ensuring that the healthcare system meets the needs of the patient as best as possible. The navigator will communicate with patients and their families regarding their procedure, preparation, recovery and follow up as well as communicate with referring physicians. The navigator helps reduce fears about the procedure by explaining what the patient can except and answer all questions.

Work Schedule:
On-site, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and as needed on occasion. As needed in Galveston and League City to support infusion patients throughout the UTMB system.
