About the Role
As a Patient Navigator specializing in Hereditary Cancer Testing, you will support patients through critical stages of their diagnostic journey. You will be based in Premier Radiology β Belle Meade, TN, providing education, coordinating care, and assisting with phlebotomy. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure a seamless, supportive, and professional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide education and support for high-risk patients undergoing genetic testing.
- Register patients and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Build trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures clearly and compassionately.
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection with accuracy and professionalism (~5β10% of role, with potential to expand).
- Accurately verify and label patient specimens at the time of collection.
- Maintain documentation, patient records, and uphold HIPAA compliance.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the clinical team and area supervisor to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Serve as a key patient contact, embodying HALOβs commitment to precision care and early detection.

QualificationsQualifications
Required:
- 2+ years recent experience as a Medical Assistant working with a clinical team.
- Experience with insurance verifications and authorizations (minimum 2 years).
- National Certified PhlebotomistΒ with strong experience in blood collection.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including venipuncture for genetic testing.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
- Reliable transportation, valid driverβs license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
Preferred:
- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant.
- Bilingual - Spanish
- 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center or similar outpatient environment.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with data entry and patient systems (EMR/EHR).
