An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced Medical Sales Representative for a Hospital portfolio of nutrition products (critical care). This role covers the Pretoria territory and Limpopo as a country trip. Only a qualified Dietician will be considered for this role. Candidates who apply should live in the Pretoria / Midrand or surrounding areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience:
4 Years Dietetics Degree Minimum of 2 - 3 years sales experience in the medical field Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a large geographical region Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the region Candidates who apply should live in the Pretoria / Midrand or surrounding areas
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and promoting our range of hospital care products to healthcare providers
You will provide supportive services to all allocated customers in assigned geographical areas Promote and sell products to all allocated customers as per defined strategies within assigned geographical areas Develop strong professional relationships with all the customers in the assigned geographical area Attend industry symposiums, congresses and conferences (this includes functions scheduled during evenings and weekends) Develop an area plan based on the divisions strategy - ensuring strategic customers and products are included Pre-call planning should be completed prior to each call and must include call objectives, feedback required from previous call, etc. Report on the relevant market information: changes in customer requirements, competitor activities, complaints, etc. Ensure samples and marketing material are always in a pristine and presentable condition Identify customer training needs and plan training sessions accordingly Ensure product and concept knowledge (critical care and nutrition) is up to date always Ensure knowledge of competitor products and relevant guidelines are updated regularly Ensure knowledge of clinical data is always up to date - incorporate publications and articles during sales calls Tests based on product and concept knowledge will be written a minimum or twice per year and pass rate is 80% must be met
