Introduction

We are seeking a high-performing Medical Sales Representative to drive growth and market share across the KwaZulu-Natal region.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling and promoting a diverse portfolio of medical devices and specialised wound care products. You will focus on building high-value clinical partnerships and ensuring our solutions are the preferred choice for healthcare providers across the province.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Actively promote and sell medical devices and wound care consumables to both private hospital groups and public sector facilities.

 

  • Private Sector Growth: Build and maintain strong partnerships with private hospital groups (Netcare, Life Healthcare, Mediclinic) and independent specialist practices.

 

  • Clinical Excellence: Conduct professional on-site demonstrations and provide hands-on clinical training for nursing staff on advanced wound care application.

 

  • Territory Strategy: Develop a structured call cycle covering the Durban Metropole, Pietermaritzburg, and the North/South Coasts.

 

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage effectively with Hospital buyers, Wound Care Specialists, and Procurement Officers.

 

  • Data-Driven Sales: Utilise Skynamo to manage daily activities, track customer interactions, and provide real-time feedback on market trends and competitive activity.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Experience: 2–5 years of sales experience in the medical industry. Specific experience in Wound Care or Diagnostic Equipment is highly advantageous.

 

  • Regional Knowledge: Strong established network within the KwaZulu-Natal healthcare landscape (Private and Public).

 

  • Language: Must be fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken).

 

  • Skills: Ability to pivot between technical device selling  and high-volume consumables (Wound Care).

 

  • Travel: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the province.
