We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Medical Sales Representative to drive growth across the scenic Garden Route territory.
You will be responsible for the full sales cycle of our medical devices and specialised wound care portfolio. This role focuses on building strong clinical partnerships with private practitioners and hospital groups to ensure our products are the preferred choice for patient care in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management: Develop and maintain an efficient call cycle covering the coastal belt from Hermanus through to Plettenberg Bay, including key hubs such as Swellendam, Mossel Bay, George, and Knysna.
Private Sector Growth: Drive product adoption within private hospital groups (e.g., Mediclinic, Life Healthcare) and private specialist suites (Cardiology, General Surgery, and Wound Clinics).
Clinical Excellence: Conduct professional on-site demonstrations and provide hands-on clinical training for nursing staff on advanced wound care application techniques.
Frail Care & Retirement Sector: Identify and convert opportunities within the region’s extensive network of retirement estates and frail care facilities, focusing on wound management solutions.
Relationship Building: Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare professionals, emphasising the long-term clinical value and reliability of our products over cheaper competitors.
Digital Reporting: Utilise Skynamo to log daily activities, manage customer data, and optimise travel routes to ensure maximum "face-time" with clients.
Requirements
Experience: 2–5 years of sales experience (Medical sales preferred).
Regional Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the healthcare landscape between Hermanus and Plettenberg Bay.
Language: Must be fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken).
Attributes: Self-disciplined and capable of working independently in a remote territory.
Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle pricing objections effectively.
Travel: Valid driver’s license and a willingness to spend significant time on the road.
