The Manager, Travel Operations & Process Improvement, plays a pivotal role in overseeing operational activities across CAA Atlantic's Travel division. Reporting to the Director, Travel & Retail, this role ensures seamless execution of travel services, including booking fulfillment, virtual team collaboration, and resolution of travel-related issues via the website. The Manager collaborates closely with the Travel Leadership Team to identify and address gaps in technology and processes, optimize performance with Preferred Partners, and drive innovation through cost-effective solutions. A key focus is to simplify workflows, enhance efficiency, and empower Travel Advisors to deliver exceptional service with ease. This position is office-based with remote work flexibility and there will be occasional overtime and travel required.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Lead automation initiatives for Travel Advisors
- Identify and implement technology-driven efficiencies
- Collaborate with CAA & AAA clubs to adopt best practices
- Assess and resolve gaps in travel technology and processes
- Enhance user experience on TST Agent/Consumer and Campana's TPOS system
- Deliver training on travel technologies and support process improvements
- Partner with Preferred Partners to optimize technology use and profitability
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a CAA Atlantic team member (i.e minimum rating of 'Meets Expectations' on last 2 years of Performance Ratings)
- Post-secondary education in Travel and/or Information Technology (IT education is not required but considered a strong asset)
- High School Diploma
- CTC or CTM designation
- Experience as a Travel Advisor or in Process Improvement
- Strong understanding of change management
- Effective communication across all organizational levels
- Proficiency in GDS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills in a change-driven environment
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies
- Extensive people management experience
- Experience working with third-party vendors and consultants
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology (asset but not required)
