The Scientific Writer will be responsible for the drafting of external communications to a wide range of constituents and stakeholders, including the development of scientific manuscripts for peer reviewed journal publication, and scientific communications promoting projects and data supporting the efforts of Cure SMA collaborations.
Cure SMA established the SMA Industry Collaboration and the Real World Evidence Collaboration to leverage the experience, expertise and resources of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and nonprofit organizations involved in SMA, to guide the future direction of SMA clinical trial development and real world evidence collection. Key goals will be to support members of the Research and Clinical Care Department in the publication and dissemination of research findings and care/treatment guidelines as developed by Cure SMA collaborations. The incumbent may also be involved in the presentation of results through the development of abstracts/posters and creation of lay materials.

The pay range for this position is $66, 000 to $80,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
