Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant VP of Quality, the Manager, Quality Process Improvement (QPI) serves as a key driver of organizational quality by leading root cause analysis efforts, identifying systemic issues, and implementing sustainable process improvements. The position requires a hands‑on, analytical mindset and a strong understanding of how quality outcomes influence both business performance and client experience.
Success in this position depends on the ability to prioritize work through risk‑based analysis, manage multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously, and consistently deliver accurate, high‑quality results within strict timelines. This role plays a critical part in elevating overall company quality and driving long‑term operational excellence.
This position required to report on-site at our Mechanicsburg, PA location 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain analytical tools, reports, and documentation using Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint to support quality insights and process improvement.
• Partner with leadership to identify quality concerns, analyze trends, and drive coordinated improvement initiatives.
• Create and update Frameworks, Policies, Procedures, Process Flows, Dashboards, and other operational documents to ensure consistency and alignment with quality standards.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver clear, actionable summaries with recommended corrective and preventive actions.
• Coach and train team members, providing feedback that strengthens analytical skills, process knowledge, and adherence to quality expectations.
• Complete Quality Assessment projects within tight timelines while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
• Provide flexible support across the QPI department and assist other operational areas as needed to advance enterprise‑wide quality goals.
• Oversee departmental quality assurance activities, ensuring methodologies are effective, scalable, and continuously improved.
• Manage staff performance, including workload assignment, development, coaching, evaluations, and time‑tracking oversight.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment built on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Design, refine, and implement quality assurance processes that enhance operational consistency and reduce systemic risk.
• Establish and maintain internal team standards, metrics, and quality measures aligned with organizational objectives.
• Prioritize workload using structured risk analysis and business impact assessments.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and follow through.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational quality initiatives.
Qualifications
• High school diploma required.
• 2-3 years proven experience in leadership or supervisory roles is required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create and manage complex documents, reports, and tools.
• Solid working knowledge of JIRA and SharePoint, Visio and familiarity with COGNOS is preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals or healthcare industry
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities, including the capacity to translate findings into actionable corrective and preventive solutions.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
• Willingness to cross‑train and develop skills across multiple disciplines.
• Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in high‑pressure environments and meet strict deadlines.
