The Manager, Clinical Compliance and Regulatory Services, Patient Safety is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the patient safety program. This role is focused on continuous improvement, including leading teams for proactive risk assessments, root cause analysis and risk reduction strategies.

Essential Job Function:
- Leads the assessment of patient safety culture, creating a transparent environment, using the bi-annual patient safety culture survey to gather information and find areas of improvement, looking for ways to implement improvements.
- Ensures compliance with system, state and federal regulations, staying up to date with changes to keep clinical and non-clinical staff in compliance, preventing any potential legal ramifications.
- Oversees the completion of patient safety reports to make sure that reports are up to the highest standard and contain accurate information.
- Assists with the definition and development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for staff to help senior management understand what aspects of the role are most important to defining the success of the positions.
- Collaborates with leadership across the organization to find areas that could use quality improvement or identify other areas of the organization that could benefit with information gathered and analyzed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's in Nursing.
- Preferred: Master's in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
- Preferred: Certification as CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety), CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality), or equivalent healthcare quality/safety certification acceptable.
Experience:
- Required: 3 Years of experience in a large acute care hospital environment.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a compact state.
