Responsibilities

 

  • The Manager of Clinical Education manages the day-to-day oversight of clinical education colleagues and clinical education activities for their assigned region.
  • This role collaborates with the Director of Clinical Education to assess, plan, develop, guide, and evaluate clinical education for Empath Health.
  • They determine appropriate methodology for delivery of clinical education.
  • Clinical education programs are understood to include, but are not limited to, new colleague clinical orientation, competency validation, continuing education, preceptor program, and any other program deemed necessary to meet the mission, vision, and goals of Empath Health.

Qualifications

 

  1. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred.
    • Licensure as a registered nurse, licensed clinical social worker, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech language pathologist, or other member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  2. Skills:
    • 2 years training and professional development experience.
    • Hospice, home health, and/or home care experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of adult teaching and learning principles.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
    • Proficiency in educational technology and tools.
  3. Professional Requirements:.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
