The Lab/Clinical Support Assistant performs task directly related to patient care in the lab. Assisting the Laboratory Coordinator with all functions related to patient care. Also performs duties of a CNA/MA as part of the patient care team. The Lab/Clinical Support Assistant will model behaviors consistent with the published values and the Code of Conduct of RCCHC.

Education: Must have a current Medical Certificate of Completion of Medical Assistant or be Listed with the Division of Facility Services Department of Human Resources as a Nursing Assistant I and/or with the North Carolina Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant II.
Experience: Preferred experience in a lab or medical practice
Certification(s)/Licensure: Phlebotomy Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
Knowledge:
- Knowledge and thorough understanding of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s) in regard to the Federal 330 Public Health Service Act
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
