Job Summary
An established private healthcare facility in Zambia is seeking a highly experienced Hospital Manager / Healthcare Operations Manager to lead and manage a multidisciplinary hospital environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical governance, hospital operations, staff management, financial control, and service delivery excellence across inpatient and outpatient services.
Full operational management of hospital and clinical services
Leadership of multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Oversight of inpatient, outpatient, theatre, ICU, laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy departments
Implementation and monitoring of clinical governance, quality assurance, and compliance standards
Staff recruitment, workforce planning, rostering, performance management, and training
Financial management including billing accuracy, cost control, stock management, and asset control
Monitoring patient care standards, service delivery, and patient satisfaction metrics
Development and execution of operational, business, and marketing strategies
Liaison with government health authorities, corporate clients, and community stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements
Management of medical equipment, hospital infrastructure, and maintenance planning
Minimum Requirements
Clinical qualification (Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years’ management experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility
Proven experience in hospital operations management and leadership
Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance, quality systems, and clinical governance
Demonstrated financial, administrative, and people-management capability
Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in Health Management, Health Administration, Hospital Management, or Business Management
Experience in private healthcare or fee-for-service medical environments
Exposure to multi-department or multi-disciplinary healthcare facilities
