About the Program
The Information Technology Department provides support to ReDiscover employees and is focused on providing customer service to our employees and clients via telecommunications, system connections, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflow development, optimization, and technical support.
What You’ll Do
- Focus on creating and maintaining SQL reports, while also supporting business intelligence efforts using iCentrix (Power BI) and dashboard development tools.
- Provide hands-on support in implementing cost-effective technology projects that meet the organization's current and future information needs.
- Provide software and application improvement and optimization to support the EHR system and related products.
- Ensure systems have proper controls and safeguards for protected health information by performing quality control, release note review, and standard data validation practices.
- Evaluate requests for system modifications and enhancements, and tests before moving into production.
- Participate in EHR User Groups to learn more about the product and stay up-to-date with changes.
- Create, update, and develop business tools and applications for use across the company, including internet platforms and tool development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of end-user training and supporting documentation.
Requirements of the Position
- Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Technologies, or equivalent discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of similar position-related experience required.
- Knowledge of systems design and implementation in a healthcare environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Pentaho, and direct experience building reports.
- Advanced computer knowledge, ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software configuration, data interfaces (such as EDI, API, etc...), and technology systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.
