Education
Applicant must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or higher (Registered Nurse preferred) who is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a two-year (associate) degree or higher.
Applicant must possess and maintain CPR Certification for Health Care Provider Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
Occupational Experience
Applicant with an associate degree must have two years of verifiable occupational experience in the past ten years.
Applicant with a bachelor or higher degree must have at least one year of verifiable occupational experience in the past ten years.
Experience must be appropriate to the subject being taught.
Requirements upon employment
Applicant must complete the NTI (New Teacher Induction) program.
Applicant must complete the Certification of Online Learning workshop and obtain a passing score on a Technology Assessment approved by the Mississippi Department of Education.
Applicant must successfully complete the Healthcare and Clinical Certification Methods Course approved by the Mississippi Department of Education.
