| Minimum Requirements: | Associate or higher degree from an accredited institution. Valid Texas Standard Health Science teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience as prescribed by the State Board of Education Certification, OR Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI) Current licensure, certification or registration by a nationally recognized accrediting agency as a health professions practitioner. Two years or more of full-time wage-earning experience in your licensed occupational field verified by your educator preparation program. Demonstrated competency in career technical education subject are assigned. | ||
| Primary Purpose: | Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the Health Science designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society to include phlebotomy, EKG and patient care skills. | ||
| Special Knowledge/Skills: | Knowledge of Health Science Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and equipment. Ability to manage student classroom behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. | ||
