Sexual Assault Services and Information Program
Health Equity Specialist

SASI is committed to the prevention of sexual violence through education, prevention and advocacy in Laredo and Webb County, while providing victim-centered, trauma-informed comprehensive services to persons affected by sexual assault.

The SASI Primary Prevention Program implements community led activities aimed at reducing tolerance of sexual violence in the community and increasing prosocial behaviors that oppose sexual violence by strengthening economic support systems, creating protective environments, and promoting social norms that protect against violence.

Duties:
Implement community-wide health equity activities. Identify, recruit, and mobilize community partners to create a network that empowers adolescents and young adults to take action for change against sexual violence by increasing access to leadership opportunities, and change the physical and social environment to increase community involvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • Experience working with youth in the primary prevention field.
  • Community Organizing.
  • Must be bilingual (English-Spanish).
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Experience in public speaking.
  • Must have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Salary: $18.27-$19.23 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
