Job Summary:

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a passionate and motivated Health Educator Specialist to join our Community Services team. In this role, you’ll plan, coordinate, and deliver impactful community health programs and initiatives that make a real difference.

Job Description:

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and deliver program content based on research, data analysis, and community needs

  • Provide health education and resources to diverse populations, including staff, patients, families, schools, and community groups

  • Evaluate program effectiveness using measurable outcomes and adjust strategies as needed

  • Act as a resource and consultant for staff, physicians, agencies, and other community health professionals

  • Collaborate on funding opportunities, including grants and other resources, to support program initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field required

  • Relevant licensure or certification preferred, depending on educational topics

  • Valid Maine driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, as defined by MaineGeneral Health policy
