Salary Range

$72,100.00 - $111,850.00

Overview The Simulated Participant (SP) portrays the role of the patient or embedded participant (EP) in a scripted scenario with a character having a specific complaint/concern in simulated activities for students and clinical healthcare trainees to practice. Required Skills and Abilities 1. Demonstrated ability to portray/act/remain in character while in the training of students and clinical healthcare trainees. 2. Demonstrated dependability, flexibility, and responsiveness to all email, written and verbal communications related to scheduling training and participation in the simulated activity. 3. Prior experience in acting (professional/community/school productions); teaching and/or previous SP work is highly desirable. 4. Ability to walk between simulation spaces, sit in a chair or on an exam table for periods of time.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Develops, provides, implements, and documents educational programs.  Creates and distributes related pamphlets and brochures.  2. Develops strong ties within target communities and across the University to assist in formulating and meeting health education needs. 3. Utilizes a variety of models and strategies to assess and evaluate learning.  Conducts program assessment and evaluation.  4. Partners collaboratively to identify, implement, and integrate short- and long-term change through project management and educational programming.  5. Provides educational consultation and assistance in monitoring of content, competency and knowledge transfer.  6. Complies with all regulatory and Joint Commission standards of education.  7. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field and three years of experience in direct education with adult learners in a healthcare educational environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
