As a Health Coach for Flex powered by Airrosti, you will play a pivotal role in delivering virtual Musculoskeletal (MSK) wellness programming for health plan members. Your primary focus will be supporting Flex members on their wellness journey through exercise guidance, habit-building, and motivational support.

This position offers significant growth potential, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and eventually lead and grow a team of health coaches as the Flex program expands. We're seeking a passionate individual who is energized by helping others achieve their wellness goals and who thrives on keeping members motivated through challenging moments in their health journey.

Your responsibilities will include providing guidance on exercises, encouraging routine and habit building, communicating with members through in-app chat, serving as the first line of support - fielding questions from members (escalating when appropriate to technical resources), and soliciting user feedback for the goal of improving the Flex experience.

Position Responsibilities

Member Engagement & Motivation (Core Focus):

  1. Instruct, motivate, and inspire members who proactively request help with their Flex program, ensuring a personalized and supportive experience that keeps them engaged and progressing toward their goals.
  2. Provide empathetic, habit-based lifestyle coaching to support members in building sustainable lifestyle habits that reduce symptoms and improve overall wellness—meeting members where they are and celebrating their wins along the way.
  3. Educate and engage members through diverse resources, including virtual sessions (Flex live), video call, in app messaging and emails --adapting your communication style to best motivate each individual member.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving:

  1. Leverage the Flex product team to make strategic, effective coaching decisions that enhance member outcomes.
  2. Offer basic troubleshooting advice to members encountering challenges with the Flex App or their programming, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  3. Collaborate with the rest of the care team, including Airrosti Certified Providers, Certified Recovery Specialists, Application Support, LOR, and Quality Assurance to deliver the best member experience.

Growth & Leadership Development:

  1. Track and report issues related to member experiences, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement and demonstrating analytical thinking that supports program growth.
  2. As part of the core FLEX team, actively support the continuous improvement of the application through added features, member experience improvements, and tech innovation—contributing ideas that enhance member motivation and engagement.
  3. Participate in team development initiatives and demonstrate leadership potential through mentoring peers, contributing to best practices, and supporting the scaling of coaching operations as the program grows.

Technical & Adaptive Skills:

  1. Demonstrate comfort with technology and proficiency in utilizing multiple platforms and programs to accomplish daily work, including new communication tools used to connect with FLEX members.
  2. Perform additional duties assigned by the Flex Product team that have a measurable impact on the overall success of the virtual MSK wellness program, such as piloting new marketing messaging or surveying members for content inspiration.
  3. Adapt and manage time effectively during ebbs and flows in member engagement (related to marketing campaign enrollments) by prioritizing member satisfaction and contributing to the growth of the membership base.

Minimum Qualifications

  • This is an onsite position that requires being in-office at Airrosti's headquarters in San Antonio
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university OR one to two years of related health care experience
  • Minimum one year of experience in clinical and/or health and wellness fields, with demonstrated ability to motivate and support clients in achieving their health goals
  • Passion for helping others succeed—you're energized by seeing members make progress and genuinely care about their wellness journey
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain member motivation through various channels

Bonus Qualifications

  • Active certification in NBC-HWC (National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach)

  • Previous experience in leadership, mentoring, or team coordination roles
  • Track record of driving engagement and positive outcomes in coaching or wellness programs
  • Interest in program development and scaling health coaching initiatives
