Summary:

Walker Solutions (Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs’ consulting and innovation hub) seeks an experienced, Licensed social worker, mental health clinician to serve as the Clinical Supervisor for a new initiative - the Girls Empowerment Zone. The Zone will address the growing mental health, wellness, and safety concerns affecting girls. Our community hub welcomes girls and their families, providing access to a broad range of wellness, mental health, education, and social services. This Project responds to rising youth behavioral health needs, while also seeking to expand and diversify the behavioral health field. A key component to the Zone is the Wellness Coach Project. The WCP recruits, trains, and places a diverse cohort of young adults to serve as Wellness Coaches in schools and youth-serving organizations to provide evidence-based skill-building support to middle and high school students facing behavioral health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and social isolation / loneliness.

 

Girls Empowerment Zone

Program Management and Training

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the case management system for girls participating in EZ programming.
  • Lead Case Manager and Situation Table ParticipantLead on the development of GEZ programming including Girls Groups and after school programming.
  • Support Walker Wednesdays and special GEZ programs!
  • Manage and monitor GEZ data collection track and assess the effectiveness of programming and outreach.
  • Oversee program operations including, but not limited safety systems, procedures, daily schedules, and program resources.
  • Provide Therapeutic oversight for programming.

Staff Supervision and Development

  • Provide ongoing supervision of the GEZ team, including regular 1:1s and supervision.
  • Ensure Walker Staff is scheduled as primary point daily.

Partner Managment

  • Support GEZ partner management.
  • Co-facilitate regular GEZ meetings with Walker Solution staff and GEZ stakeholders to plan and solve problems as needed.
  • Attend community meetings and programs, as necessary.

For WCP:

Program Management

  • Support curriculum development and co-teach seminars and Professional Development Days to develop coaches' understanding and use of evidence-based skill-building interventions (e.g., SEL, CBT, mindfulness/meditation, case management, etc.), professional and personal development.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of Wellness Coaches.
  • Support the Coach Site Assignment Process
  • Attend meetings with various teams, partners, and community sites to plan, solve problem-solve, and support Wellness Coach trainees.
  • Stay updated on wellness trends: Keep abreast of the latest research and trends in health and wellness to provide the most current and effective coaching.

 

Coach Supervision and Development

  • Manage 5-10 Wellness Coaches, including regular individual and group supervision.
  • Provide coaching and professional guidance to staff and Wellness Coaches.
  • Oversee the match between Coach trainees and youth receiving coaching, ensuring sound practice.
  • Manage and monitor data collection by Wellness Coaches to track and assess the effectiveness of coaching activities.

Partner Managment

  • Conduct site visits of assigned coaches host sites.
  • Support Site Coordinator meetings and meet with Site Coordinators as needed.
  • Ensure the efficacy of the Wellness Coach Service model and components at each service site.

Qualifications

Education and Licensure Required:

· Master-level Degree: MSW, MS, MA (e.g., counseling, psychology, mental health counseling, and family therapy).

Experience:

  • Experience managing programs.
  • Experience Managing staff.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs and their families.
  • Experience with strength-based assessment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team structure.
  • Demonstrated creativity, cultural curiosity, and flexibility in responding to various family, home, and community environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data.
  • Experience supervising clinical staff and/or interns preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in the use of computer systems for information management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
