PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provides specialized consulting services to advise, support and guide organizational leadership on environmental health programs, regulatory compliance, public health risks, and grant opportunities. The consultant will offer subject matter expertise ensure ongoing program effectiveness, assist in strategic planning, and provide technical guidance on environmental health matters throughout the organization's service area. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree with major study in Environmental Health or academic field relating to biological science, engineering, clinical, or general science. At least five (5) years of experience in the performance of environmental health or related activities. 
  2. Master's degree (e.g., MPH, MSPH, MS) or equivalent in related field is preferred and may substitute for equivalent experience. 
  3. Supervisory and grant administration work experience required. 
  4. Registered Environmental Health Specialist (either National Environmental Health Association or a current state registration) required.
