Emergency Medical Responder / EMR

The basic function of the EMR Driver is to provide medical assistance to the EMT-B, within the scope of their practice, and transportation for a patient at the Emergency Medical Service Driver (EMR Driver) level. This person should have the ability to work well with other employees, patients and their families as well as professionals from our accounts and service areas. They should also have the ability to obtain appropriate patient care information, as needed, and completing all additional paperwork as required by the system and company.

The EMR Driver has the responsibility to drive and assist the EMT-B with patient care as needed as well as lifting and moving of patients.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide First Aid and CPR

Must be able to move patients up and down stairs as well as in and out of the ambulance safely.
