SUMMARY:
The EHR/Telecommunications Specialist will assist with the transition from KYENT’s former electronic health record to ICC, the Lexington Clinic’s EHR software product. This employee will also manage the Switchboard and direct incoming calls to appropriate parties.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; Knowledge of basic medical terminology and pharmacology terms either from medical office experience or completion of a medical assistant program/training; experience working with the public; ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations; pleasant attitude; neat appearance; excellent communications skills; ability to work independently as directed. Computer experience with attention to detail and accuracy is required.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; lift/move equipment; manual dexterity and motor coordination; articulate speech; read and understand medical information; visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors.
