SUMMARY: The EHR (Electronic Health Record) Support Analyst II – Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Provider Enrollment (PE) position is responsible for supporting the Client Financial Specialist in RCM activities and serving as the primary staff member for completing PE with insurance providers. Key responsibilities include managing revenue cycle work queues, maintaining practice management tables, enrolling staff with payers/insurance, and overseeing payer staff rosters and other billing-related operational efficiencies. This role also provides technical support for daily activities, navigates modules and workflows, and troubleshoots system issues using the Help Desk Ticketing system and Ochin Epic's JIRA system. Additionally, the EHR Support Analyst II will help optimize the use of the Practice Management (PM) side of the EHR system to ensure efficiency.

Full -time, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Salary Range: $63,544.00 - $81,078.40

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Support the Client Financial Specialist with RCM tasks through the completion of Information Service Help Desk Tickets with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining knowledge of PM functionality within the EHR. To include knowledge of 837, 835, and 270 files, as well as CPT/HCPC codes and CARCs/RARCs.
  • Serve as a liaison between CCMH and Ochin Epic Billing Services to ensure expected billing practices are being followed.
  • Manage revenue cycle work queues and maintain practice management tables.
  • Assist with creation/maintenance of user accounts within EHR
  • Serve as the primary staff member for completing PE with appropriate payers/insurance
  • Maintain applicable provider rosters for payers/insurances
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) within OCHIN, facilitating testing of upcoming changes to the Epic EHR, and maintaining change management processes.
  • Assist with the design and development of training and reference materials related to new functionality in the PM side of the EHR (including videos)  
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director and Ochin Billing Services on projects to enhance Business Center efficiency. 
  • Assist with maintaining clean data within EHR 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supervises no other positions in the Agency and is directly supervised by the Director of Operations. All programs/staff are ultimately responsible to the agency Executive Director. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in computer business, finance or related field required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHR Practice Management application required. Preferred experience with Epic EHR. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 required. Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered. 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required:  Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) Practice Management (PM) systems. Demonstrated experience with revenue cycle and end-user support. Demonstrate organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize projects and to work independently as well as in a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management and staff required. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and communicate in English language, and understand documents, instructions, and procedure manuals, as needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job. Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, finance reports, and legal documents. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clinicians, medical professionals, and administrative staff.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to understand personal boundaries and how this impacts the work environment.
