What are we looking for in a Clinical Informaticist?
The ideal Clinical Informaticist should:
Bridge the gap between healthcare and technology, ensuring that clinical systems improve client care, optimize workflows, and support data-driven decisions.
Be a collaborative leader with a strong understanding of both clinical operations and health IT systems.
Possess the strategic insight to evaluate current EHRs and emerging technologies for organizational scalability and sustainability.
Demonstrate analytical skills to assess workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
Be capable of managing change, guiding adoption of new technologies, and ensuring staff proficiency in informatics tools.
The schedule for this role will be on call, Monday- Friday 8-5.
Clinical Informaticist duties may include:
Integrating and implementing clinical informatics systems to enhance care delivery.
Collaborating with clinical teams, IT, and vendors to streamline workflows.
Analyzing workflows and identifying informatics-based improvement opportunities.
Overseeing system selection and implementation aligned with organizational goals.
Providing technical training and support for EHRs and other clinical tools.
Testing technologies, upgrades, and new solutions.
Monitoring performance of informatics systems and troubleshooting issues.
Leading change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintaining regulatory compliance and best practices.
Supervising Health Information Management (HIM) functions.
Managing staff, hiring, performance evaluations, and professional development.
