Description

Assesses, coordinates, monitors and evaluates the diabetes education program needs in order to meet or exceed American Diabetes Association (ADA) Recognition standards. The coordinator will be responsible for physical oversight in all PHSJ locations covered by this Recognition.

We are hiring for Diabetes Educator RN position in the Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 10-hr Day shifts, 40 hours per week.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with courses related to the Health Sciences field. 
  • Coursework/Training and Academic preparation in program management.
  • Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License 
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 
  • 2 years of related experience in the health care field and/or education experience with groups and individuals.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Certification as a Diabetes Educator
